Upgrading laptops and need to install Access 2003 on a new machine.
Will MS allow this as the current key is tied to the old machine? Eg.
how is this done in the age of the "registration" police?

You should get some prompting when you "activate" if it doesn't allow it.
You will have the opportinity to communicate with Microsoft to explain you
are going to uninstall from the old machine, so it is just a move/upgrade,
not a duplicate install.

Hi, David.

Generally, yes. However, if this is an OEM license Microsoft will refuse, since
OEM licenses are assigned to the computer (hardware) and can't be swapped, even
if the old computer is going into the computer recycling bin.
