You have to see if your printer manufacturer has drivers for Vista.
Check their website for more info.

Unfortunately, hardware needs drivers for a particular operating system
in order to work under that operating system. If your printer isn't
supported with drivers in Vista, you can try the drivers for XP. If the
XP drivers don't work, then I'm sorry but your printer will not work
under Vista.

Jane:
Have you checked your printer manufacturer's web site?
Go there and see whether they have posted drivers for Vista.
If you need further help, please tell us more about your printer, like
model, make, etc.

You need to contact the printer's manufacturer to see if they provide
updated drivers that support Vista. If they don't, you might try
contacting a local computer repair profession (which means don't go near
any Best Buy Geek Squad or other big box chain store) to see if he can
force the WinXP drivers to work. You should also post the specific make
and model of the printer here, to see if someone else has already found
a solution to the same issue.

Failing that, unfortunately, you may need to replace the printer with
one that is Vista-compatible.
