I am trying to install a program that will not run on Windows XP but I heard
that you change XP to an existing Operating System to run certain programs.
Is there anyone out there that could help me? If so please send me an e-mail
at (e-mail address removed)

Thank you

Right click the file executable, choose properties, then the
compatability tab. Put a tic mark in Run this program in compatibility
mode for..and choose the OS.

If it won't install using XP, forget it and look for one that is XP
compatable. If it will install but won't run then try running it in
compatible mode.

No, there's no way to "change XP to an existing Operating System." XP is XP
and you can't change it to anything else.

However you *can* run a particular application in compatibility mode, and
*perhaps* that's what you're referring to. See
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/301911/en-us

Also tell us what application you're trying to install.
