I have tried to install a new software program in xp, but the software is for
older versions of windows. I did everything correctly using the program
compatibility wizard. The program seems to be installed but when I open the
program I get a main2_w, 150 error. I can not find any help anywhere on the
net.

Thank you for the help. It took me some time digging through all my nview
settings. I finally found the correct screen.

The error message you're citing isn't a standard Windows error, so it
must be being generated by the application itself. Have you looked in
the programs documentation for an explanation of the error message and
possible corrective actions?

Unfortunately, some legacy programs simply _can't_ be made to work on
modern operating systems. Have you contacted the manufacturer of the
application to see if they have a newer version or a patch to make the
old version WinXP-compatible?

Also, if you were to perhaps tell us the name and manufacturer of this
mysterious program, there might be someone who has had experience with
it and knows a solution. But, until you divulge that key piece of
information, we can do no more than make guesses as to a solution.
