installing a Epson 1640 scanner

We are trying to reinstall an Epson 1640 USB Scanner and
everthing seem to be ok and then at the end of the
install we get this message "The class installer has
denied the request to install or upgrade this device"
The device does not install. Please any idea's

Go to Epson's web site and download the latest driver.. try that one.
