My installer will not let me install anything. I tried down loading 2.0 installer but my computer tells me that "the specified service already exists" can anyone help. I have some software I need to get on my computer.

Also, when I try to install something, the install stops and the task manager says program not responding. This ha
done this on 3-4 different programs.

Are these programs ones which were not written for Windows 2000? If so then
yes, sometimes you can get away with it, and sometimes they just won't
install and there is nothing you can do about it

If you are getting this with all programs then that is another matter and I
hope that someone here can give you a more positive answer.
