Installed Windows XP Pro twice

In trying to reinstall Windows XP Pro (to clear up a
minor problem, a repeated logon message saying "Please go
to the Control Panel and configure systems components") I
inadvertantly installed a second Windows system (to my D:
drive, where the first one was my C: drive). So now I
have two operating systems on one computer. How do I
remove the second system? Must I register it before I can
remove it?

No you do not have to register or activate to remove. The link below should
cover the configuration. Make sure you remove the correct XP.
Click on the link below, or copy and paste the link into the address box
if using the web based newsgroup.
Remove a dual boot.
