Installed the patch but still got the Blaster?

Maybe I already had it before installing the patch, but I thought I checked.

I checked the control panel and the patch has been installed.

Now I am running Zone Alarm and it keeps showing that the MSBLASTER.exe is
trying to connect to the internet.

I did a search for MSBLASTER.exe

and it came up with 2 files on my harddrive. Can I delete these 2 files to
get rid of it?

The computer has never rebooted on me once.

Go to Kelly's check program at
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_w.htm#worm
and run the ones for BLast and for Sobig and ensure things are cleaned
up. It is MSBlast.exe rather than MSBlaster.exe, but you should make
sure

This is a common problem it seems. Here are the steps to take to eradicate
this.

1) Install the Microsoft patch for your OS version

2) Run the Symantec utility to clean off the system

3) Update your anti-virus definitions.
