I just installed a Western Digital 250gb hard drive, copying my original
drive to the new drive. I set the new drive as the master and old drive as
the slave. Now when I try to send and receive emails in Outlook, it connects
and sees how many emails I have but it won't download. Also, some of my
icons on my desktop are not the right icons. It gives me the default
(unknown) icons. The Outlook icon doesn't start the program. Instead it
gives me "Open with" window. Anyone idea on how to fix this?

What drive letter has your new disc got? If your original was say C:\ and
your new one E:\ the shortcuts will be pointing to the wrong path.

How do I repair the installation? When try detect and repair, I get an error
message about "This patch package could not be opened. Verify patch package
exits...verify that this is a vlid Windows Installer patch package."

I tried reinstalling from the disc but I get the same message.

The new drive is C: and the old is E: The jumpers are correct and the icons
will start up the programs. Its just the Outlook that won't start correctly.

Yea, I've tried that already and it didn't work. I've reformatted and copied
the drive three times and the same thing keeps happening. There must be
something else going on besides the Outlook or Office. Some icons are not
the correct icons such as Itunes and a file that is a .pdf.
