I just installed Windows XP Professional two days ago,
and each time I boot up my computer, it goes through some
kind of Initialization process. A window then pops up
that asks me to insert the "Windows XP Standard" CD
because my computer is trying to use some file it doesn't
have. The CD I got with my product doesn't fulfill the
computer's request, so I always have to push "Cancel"
when it asks for the CD, and then an "Error 1706" window
comes up. Are you familiar with this problem? I'm not
sure why my computer is asking for some file I don't
have. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
