While trying to re-install Windows 2000 Pro on a Dell box
(2.0 ghz, 500+mb ram), I am getting the following error:

Setup cannot copy the file: cdosys.dll

After several attempts, I hit SKIP. Can anyone tell me
where that file belongs so that I can move it to the
proper directory if/when Windows boots into the GUI?

Thank you

Hi Todd,

The file belongs in the %systemroot%\system32 folder. If you copy the file
to that folder, run the following command:

regsvr32 C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\CDOSYS.DLL
