installation problems

I've installed Outlook 2003 as part of Office Student and Teacher Edition
2003. However, it doesn't open and becomes a non responsive programme. I've
uninstalled, repaired and also reinstalled. But I still have the same
problem> I have a new sony Vaio laptop.

After you have installed Office Studio and Teacher Edition 2003, please
visit http://office.microsoft.com and download and install all updates
you can grab. Then try to launch Outlook again. Does it give you any
error message?

Have you configured your mail account per your ISP/Mail Admin instructions?
Did you test your account settings after setting this up? Have you tried
creating a new mail profile under Control Panel->Mail Icon->Show
Profiles->New? Do not copy the old one, create a new one and configure it
to use your current .pst file.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
