Hi all,

ive recently purchased a full version of Windows XP professional and
im having a few problems with installing it.

Originally i had Windows Millenium installed but upgraded to XP home
using the XP upgrade CD.

I then changed the entire file system to NTFS

ive tried to install the XP pro but im not having much luck .... it
keeps hanging half way through. i left it for over an hour last night
..... still no good.

Do i need to get rid of my old operating system before installing the
new one ?? if so how do i do it ?

ive got an 80GB hard drive partitioned into 9 seperate drives. My XP
Home is on c: .... i have noticed that the half installed XP pro has
appeared on the D: drive ?????????

should i scrap the computer and buy a tin of kippers ??

thanks in advance .....

Taff

I would definatly suggest reformating your first partition with NTFS and
doing a clean install of XP Pro.
