Hi, I recently had a hard-drive fail and so I took it out and replaced
it with an older hard-drive of mine. After that I tried to run the
system recovery that came with my HP Pavilion desktop as it just
restores the licensed version of XP back on it (with other software,
too).

Unfortunately, it didn't happen because, for some reason, it says
that the computer is not an HP computer... Funny, still looks like
one. Anyways, so I find my dads XP disc and figure if I can at
least get it on there I will know it's OK...

Upon the attempt to install, it came up with a STOP error and
gave the reason as SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED
(number 0x0000006F or 6B, I cannot remember, sorry).

So... I'm attempting to install an older Win2K that we had, but I
want XP on there... Can anybody help me understand what the
heck is going on!?

Thanks,
Matt

Also, got the Win2k installed alright with a 1.5 GB drive I had...
There aren't any problems with size requirements that would
initiate type of error on WinXP are there?

Living on a Prayer,
Matt
