installation of upgrade from ME to XP

I just purchased xp home to upgrade my hp which has me
installed. When I try to run the upgrade option it say it
can't read or wirte to my c drive. I have uninstalled any
virus software I can find.

Windows M.E. and Windows XP run off off different file

systems. The NTFS in XP is even different from WIndows
2000 so, you need to go to the knowledgebase. There are
articles in there about your specific problems and how to
resolve them.
