Hi,
i cannot install Adobe PhotoShop or threedegrees onto
my computer. both installers insist that i must have
system administrator capacity to be able to install them.
As you might have guessed, i am the only one user on the
computer and there are no guest accounts. Can anyone tell
me what is going on?
I would appreciate any help i can get.
thank you

Hi

What is the exact message you get?

For Adobe Photo shop It Says
You must have system Administrator Priviledges for your
registration code to be activated on this computer.
For threedegrees it says
The installer has insufficient priviledges to access this
directory
c:\documents and settings\allusers\documents\shared group
icons
Log on as or contact your administrator
In both cases i am logged in as the administrator

Thanks

Are you truly logged on as the user "Administrator" or an account with admin
rights. We've ran across a few software packages lately the will only
install correctly when logged on as the true user "Administrator". Having
checked with the vendor, they specifically hard-coded an internal
installation check for "User - Administrator" instead of "Group -
Administrator" - seems the programmer didn't know the difference between the

I finally figured out that there are two "administrator"
accounts; one with my name, and one with the
Administrator attached to it. if there are these two diff
accounts, do they need to be merged into one, and if so,
how is that possible?

Thanks
