Hello Everyone,

We have a Sony notebook that had Windows XP Home on it.
we are in the process of upgrading to XP Professional.
Everything about the installation seems normal, right to
about 34 minutes remaining. Then it flashes a quick DOS
blue screen and reboots. It has done this about 7 times
now. The screen flashes must too quick to read.

We don't want to wipe everything out and install from
scratch, as the user of this notebook has valuable data
on it...

When we preform a hard shutdown, during boot up the
system states that it is continuing with the setup and
ask for the install CD. And the system appears to be
stuck in an endless loop. At this point the system is non-
functional because we cannot complete the install.

We would like to get the system back to the original
state using XP Home.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in Advance
Barry
