Installation error?

Having trouble trying to install a program. It is a PC game (Far Cry by
Ubisoft).
The trouble started trying to uninstall it- I repeatedly received a
"uninstallation interrupted, not complete" message. Eventually I used the
Windows Install Clean Up and was able to remove it.
Now I'm trying to do a clean install, and I get the same message
"installation interrupted". There is no error code.
I am using an AMD 3200, Windows XP, SP2.
I tried turning off all anti-virus, firewalls, etc. Shut down all other apps
I could.
I did reboots, restore, disc cleanup; I checked the regedit, there are no
traces of the old program.
The install goes all the way to the very end, then the message comes up.
I am the administrator, verified that.
I can install other programs, I did a trial.
Please, I'm so frustrated by this. Please help! Grrrrr!
 
Hi,

The fact that other installations work tells you that the problem is with
that particular program. You should contact Ubisoft for assistance.
