Please help me with 2 questions--
My computer had a severe virus attack and as a result I
will have to reformat my 2 hard dirves.

MY questions are--
1. Will I have to re-authorize my Win xP Pro Ugrade after
I reinstall?

and

2. Since I have a Win XP Pro Upgrade will in install the
FULL os on my computer?
I have my win 98SE & WinME original disks.

THANK YOU.

To answer your questions...
1. Yes you will have to re-authorize your copy of Windows after you
reinstall. However this will not be a problem because you are authorizing
the same system that had the original install on it.
2. The XP upgrade version does not support a clean install of the
operating system. Therefore you will have to install WinME (or 98SE) before
you can upgrade to XP.

Yikes......... you work for MS? You better check your answer script again.
An XP upgrade cd can do an upgrade install or a clean full install. All you
need is a win9x/me/2000 cd to prove your eligable to use the upgrade cd.
This is asked for during install, you pop it in, xp verifies, put xp cd back
in and install continues.

No, that's not right. You can use an upgrade cd to do a clean full install.
All you have to do is pop in your win9x/me/2000 cd when xp install asks for
it, to prove you can use the upgrade cd. No os at all has to be installed
first.

Ignore the other answers for #2 here.
You can use your xp upgrade cd to do a clean full install. You just need a
win9x/me/2000 cd to pop in when xp asks for it, to verify your eligible to
use the upgrade version.
