Have 20G HD used as follows:

10G: C:, FAT32, W98SE

10G: no drive letter, i.e., "no-man's land", empty.

Want to install XP Home (upgrade version) in the empty portion of drive,
have both 98SE and XP, each in their own partition.

Question: Do I have to do anything to prep 10G no-drive-letter portion?

Thank you,

NO...simply boot up using the XP CD & install the OS. Choose the option to
install the OS & select free space & create partition (press C key) when
prompted, choose the File System (FAT32 or NTFS) & continue the INSTAL
process. If you choose NTFS you'll NOT be able to see the NTFS partition
from your 98 OS...
