Install XP Pro Over XP Home Question

I know that I can install XP Pro over XP Home without problems, but which version of XP Pro do I need, the upgrade or the full version?

Either - as long as they are the RETAIL and not OEM versions.

The WinXP Pro full retail CD is capable of performing both
upgrades and clean installations.

The WinXP Pro Upgrade CD is also capable of performing both
upgrades and clean installations, but requires that you verify
ownership of a qualifying earlier OS.

Economically, then, it would seem to make more sense to purchase
the
latter.
