Install windows and screen comes up blank

I have reinsatlled windows on a formated Hard drive and
when it rebots for the last time the screen just stays
blank after starting windows. I can open windows in safe
mode but I don't know where to go from here.

Your problem is most likely device drivers, specifically

the video card driver, which need to be updated to the
current XP version from the maker's web site. Is the
screen fully dark, partially light, or is it a blue type
screen ? Also some LCD monitors may not be detected, and
so they need thier drivers as well to work.
