Install upgrade over OEM version?

Can you install Windows XP Home upgrade over a version of
Windows 98 that you received from an OEM (like Dell, for
instance)?

Yes. Run the Home Upgrade CD from the existing system. First review
the hardware to be sure it is adequate (especially that you have more
than 128MB RAM, preferably 256), adequate CPU speed and say 5GB free
disk space. And Read Gary Woodruff's article on upgrading to XP at
