Install to stripe set?

Can XP Pro create a stripe set, rather than a simple volume during
installation? Or can a simple volume be "extended" after installation? Or
does the volume have to exist before installation? On a virgin PC, how is
this possible?

Thanks in advance.

You need a RAID card. ATA RAID is cheap, these days. IF
WinXP can do it, the performance will suck. I've heard
that so many times I won't even bother trying it. My
Promise RAID card stripes the drives so that any bootable
CD will identify it as one drive. Disk manager won't know
the difference.

RAID also sux with FAT32 or non-NT-based OS. My
Win98/FAT32 refused to operate without "compatibility
mode", even though I scoured the registry and system
config files for DOS drivers.
XP + RAID controller are the way to go.
