Hi! I am trying to install a new program I bought on my
computer, but the way I am splitting up the information I
am using it for I want to create separate complete files.
Also, when i install it will only install to the d drive
since thats where my computer has windows and i want it to
install to the c drive or e drive cause they are bigger
partitions. Is there anyway, that i can install this
program twice on the same computer. Perhaps I can make a
new folder and copy the cd-rom into the folder and run
setup from there. I want the program to basically see
that folder as the whole computer and if i let one of my
clients access the folder, they can run the program
without needing access to other parts of the computer.

Does this make any sense?

Thanks for anything u can throw at me.

I understand what you want to do, but you can not do it. You could have
a dual-boot with two separate operating systems and install the program
in each one, but not on the same one. You might want to look into
running something like Virtual PC.

Would you recommend VirtualPC? Would I need to install another operating
system for each application instalation? Would that necessarily be against
the software license since it is on the same machine?

Thanks!

I've never used VirtualPC (although I bought a copy, just haven't gotten
around to playing with it) but lots of the MVP's I know use it. They
say it's very handy for experimenting with other operating systems,
etc. I believe you would have to have a license for each operating
system you would install, but IANAL.
