I have been trying to install service pack 2 but keep getting the message
c:windows\system32\cmd.exe is in use. I have turned off spyware, adware etc.
Taskbar is not working and cannot find what is using this file. getting
desperate now! please help!

Cmd.exe is your command prompt which you can find in Start>All
Programs>Accessories. You say your Taskbar is not
working. How so?

Download Process Explorer from www.sysinternals.com - this may give you some
idea which process is launching cmd.exe. You can then kill the process tree
(cmd.exe and whatever is launching it) or temporarily disable it.

Don't know why taskbar not working! Clicked on start, accessories and command
prompt, got the message that the file is in use. Thanks anyway!
