I have just picked up a new m-board and my hard drive
already has WXP Pro loaded on it but for whatever reason,
I get the big blue screen a death that tells me its
shutting down to protect my operating system. Is there
some trick to making my new board load up my operating
system that was initially installed on a different board.
I also tried installing XP on a different drive and it
all goes well until it gets to the (Installing Network)
portion. The progress bar halts but the splash screens
that tell you how great XP is is still cycling. It's also
at the 34 minutes remaining. Any ideas on this one?

Thanks for any help.

Your existing Windows XP installation does not have the necessary
drivers installed for your new hardware, that's why it is unable to start.
