Trying to boot up with CD to install XP on older pc, it's
an ASUS P3B-F with P-II 350, it has the newest bios.
When it starts, normally to boot from CD I have to press
a key, but it says "no imulation" and boots the CD, then
it freezes at Loading (Kernal Debugger DLL)...

Is this MB not going to work with XP?
Thanks, Patrick

Did you run the Windows XP Upgrade Advisor to check and see
if your hardware is compatible with Windows XP?

this is a brand new hard drive, and new to me MB.
is there a way to run it with out an OS installed?

Did you need to hit f6 on XPinstall to install the drivers for your IDE disk accelerator/ host adapter for your IDE 66,100, 133
This is a problem I had, without the proper drivers to see the IDE you cant see the hard drives..
