I have been trying to download pictures from my DX4530
camera for the last month. I cannot get the Kodak
software to work and they tell me I can use Microsoft WIA
drivers. I only have 3 drivers on my system (Windows XP
Home Edition) for KODAK DC models. How do I get the
latest WIA drivers? When I connect my camera to the USB
port I get the "USB Device not recognized" message.

"USB Device not recognized" mean you don't have the device driver for it. try searching kodak site (www.kodak.com), under 'support center', 'dowload n upgrade' and pick your camera model. hope you get it fix with that

cheers, C

Why don't you do it the simple way? Use a card reader that plugs into your
USB port. The readers are very cheap. In fact I got mine free after the
rebate (Office Max). The readers work well, you don't need any software
installed, and you don't use up your camera battery making the transfers.

Agreed. a card reader is a good suggestion. it's cheap and will do the same job. However, not all places have 'rebate' kind of stuff (i'm not in US). btw, i'm just answering Derrick's question on camera connection.

cheers, CM
