inspiron 1150 OS xp professional - usb

grrrrr! hello, I am having problems with my usb, it was working fine
until one evening it failed to recognize a device (logitech mouse and
memorex memory stick. My BIOS reads usb enable, my device manager
reads OK and my services are all active and funtioning. When I plug
the memory stick, the light comes on (I guess I have power) and that is
all, it does not ask me to take an action (autoplay window or box). I
have reinstalled OS and have SP2 installed.

Please, any help is appreciated, thanks! grrrr!

Sounds like a hardware problem to me.
