Insertion of CD caused Reboot

This happens with a few CDs, not all, but when I put the CD in, and it
starts to Autoboot, the system immediately shuts down and reboots. I have
looked at the autoboot scripts, and see nothing that would cause this, but
there it is. Any idea what is causing this anyone?
Many thanks!

Hi,

I would suspect rather that it is a service being called by the autorun
function that is causing it rather than something in the autorun.inf file on
the CD itself. Is there any commonality among the types of disks that cause
this?

Start/run eventvwr.msc and see if there is anything in the application or
system logs that gives a clue as to what is happening to incur the shutdown
sequence.
