Inserting picture of a page in a document

Creating a instructor's manual and want to insert a
picture of the corresponding page in the student's manual
in the instructor's manual. All methods I tried, placing
in Paint/Powerpoint and saving as a picture, messes up
the lines and columns. Is there a way to do this.
 
Have you tried a screen capture program such as SnagIt?
