inserting chart into report

i am trying to insert a pie chart onto my report page. i am basing the
chart on a query. as i use the wizard i can preiew the chart and it
appears fine. However when i insert it.....something very different
looking is inserted. It will list my query as the recor source but it
is not my chart. Its data sheet is weird. I am wondering it is a
standard MS chart or something.

any ideas?

Your design view might be the default values of North, West,... I assume
when you print preview, the chart looks ok. You can view the datasheet of
your chart's record source and copy the records to the clipboard. Then go to
the chart design and view its datasheet. Paste your records into the
datasheet.
