When I tried attaching an Excel (.xlsx) to my message, I received this
message:
"some of the files could not be found and could not be attached to the
message"

Any suggestions? -Anne

It means the file was still open elsewhere, probably in Excel.
Make sure the file is closed in all other programs before you try to
attach it.

Thanks Gary for your advise...i was breaking my head for 2 days to overcome
this issue. Now WM works fine....

You're welcome. Apparently the requirement to have the attachment
not open elsewhere is new in Windows Mail.

Thanks...

Bonjour,

Merci

Guy

The file you wish to attach must first be closed. Then click "attach" on
your email headings. Then select the file as you normally would from your
file list and click "open" which will attach the file to your email.

What a life saver. Thought I was going to have to upgrade to Windows Outlook.
Cheers
Sharon

Gary - You can't imagine how many people have been helped by your response.
So EASY - but I also spent days trying to figure out the problem ... thought
it was an issue with trying to send a certain formatted file! THANKS!
