Insert picture into Word document in PhotoShop format?

Hi,
I am using PhotoShop more and more for editing pictures. If I save the image
in PS format (psd) I cannot use the insert picture from file feature. I have
been saving a copy of the picture in TIFF as well and that will insert ok.

Why won't PS insert?

I don't have Photoshop, so I'm not 100% sure this will work, but try this:

Open the picture in Photoshop, select the picture, copy, switch to Word,
click on Edit | Paste Special | Paste as: Photoshop object | OK.

You can't use insert picture from file because .psd is a Photoshop file
that contains a picture. It would be like a Word file (.doc) that
contains a picture, but you can't insert a .doc file either with insert
picture from file.
