-- I have a spreadsheet with multiple worksheets that I use to
manage/account for ammunition for army units.

The first two cols in each worksheet are exactly the same:

Col1 Col2 Col3
Col4
Serial Type
Row1 0040 5.56MM Ball Clip
Row2 0050 5.56MM Blank Clip
Row3 0060 5.56MM Ball Link
Row4 0070 5.56MM Blank Clip
Row5 0080 5.56MM 4Bit etc........

Is there a command/function that will let me insert 2 new rows, say between
Rows 4 & 5, and automatically do it for the other 25 worksheets in the
spreadsheet as well ?

0071 5.56MM Ball [TR]
0072 5.56MM AP

You can group all the worksheets together, insert the rows you want and then
ungroup the worksheets.

Select the first worksheet and ctrl-click on subsequent.

Or click on the leftmost tab and shift-click on the rightmost.

Or rightclick on any and choose Select All Sheets.

Then almost any action you do to one of those grouped sheets will be done to the
others.

After you insert the rows, you can add the common stuff (all 25 grouped sheets
at once). But then make sure you ungroup or you could damage more than you
want.

Just rightclick on any of the grouped worksheets tab and choose "ungroup
sheets".

(Be careful when the sheets are grouped.)

Hi Ole,

Click the first sheet tab, Shift-click the last tab
Insert 2 rows on the active sheet
Right-click a tab | Ungroup sheets.

The two rows will now have been inserted in all 25 sheets.

You have just made my day...Thanx !

OK.

Now that I will have the new rows inserted across all worksheets; is there
an easy way to extrapilate all formulas down across all the new row, IN ALL
THE WORKSHEETS ?

I can send you the .xls if you prefer....

Thanx.

What happens if you try copying the formulas from the previous row down--with
the worksheets grouped.

(I'd save before I did it--just in case.)

I'll try that this PM; I'm on my way out the door to the gym and then
working on my daughters car.....

The 1st worksheet is the "summary" that pulls in and "sums" all the data
from the other worksheets; while the rows are common across all sheets, the
columns are not the same. I'll work on your suggestion though and we'll see
what cobbles together. You guys have already saved me a few hours of
screwing around, just to get the new rows inserted. Thanx.
