When I try to insert a tick into the box on an on-line form the box moves to
the right and the symbol inserts before the box. How do I get the tick into
the box?

What do you mean "insert a tick into a text box in an online form"?

Are you using Microsoft Access, the topic of this newsgroup?

How did you get the form published online?

If it is a textbox, why are you trying to enter anything other than text?

If you want a checkbox, why do you not include a checkbox field?

How are you "trying to insert a tick"? What keys are you pressing on your
keyboard?

More details please...

I'm trying to complete an on line application form. It requires me to tick
in a box for yes/no. When I try to insert a tick symbol it goes before the
box and not in it, the box moves a space to the right.

Well, you have posted to a newsgroup for Microsoft Access, the database
product.

If you are having trouble filling in an application online, I'd suggest you
call the company, or look for a "contact us" link, or find a link to the
webmaster.

No one in a newsgroup is going to be able to fix a broken website for you.
