So i got tired of looking for an answer to my question and decided to just
ask the question. I hope i dont get replies that only contain links to a
supposed "answer" cause ive looked and nothing addresses this the way i like
it.

So i have two hard drives (a 120gb and a 250gb) The 250 came installed on my
dell dimension 8300 with WinXP Home installed on that drive, and i then
installed a slave 120 drive to act as just a scratch disk for video work, but
i now realize that i want it the other way around: i want the 120gb drive to
run WINxp and hold all my programs and games, and use the 250gb drive to be
my slave scratch disk (because for obvious reasons, its bigger and holds
more). So anyone with any helpful information on how to safely do this would
be much obliged.

Hi,

A lot depends on what Dell's recovery media will allow. Is it an included
disk? Or is the backup partition on the existing drive? What I would do,
providing the media allows it, is simply swap the drive positions and set
the larger one as master, then install directly to it. This will cause it to
become the boot drive as well as the system drive.
