Inline editing of folder names

Hi guys,

I used to be able to edit names of folders in Explorer's folder window by
highlighting a folder and right-clicking on it, and then deleting the old
name with Backspace, etc and typing a new one..., just like you can do in
the files window. Now after reinstalling WinXP I found I can't do this
anymore. How do I get this function back?
Thanks for any help in advance.

Are you Right clicking the file | Select: Rename ?
Do you have Rename as an option?

Highlight the file (Don't double click) | click the name |
Or
Highlight the file | Press F2
