Hi!

I am hoping to do an complete system restore, returning my computer to it
was the day I brought it home, like you could do with Windows 98. does anyone
know how to do this? I have already backed-up everything I care about.

Thanks, Maggie

Your details are a little skimpy.
If you bought a system with a "restore CD" that will usually do the job
If your System has a "restore Partition"....that will do the job as
well............for both of these read the documentation that came with your
system.
If you bought a "blank" system and loaded everything yourself....you would need
all of those CD's to reload.
The XP CD is bootable and you can start your system with that....during the
install process it asks if you wish to format...saying yes will erase everything
on that HD or partition. Then XP will install, once that is completed and running
you need to install all of your driver...motherboard/video/audio/etc etc.
Then you can reinstall all of your programs.you should be done in about 3 to4
hours..........Good Luck
