Initial Administrator account and settings disappeared

I have had my Gateway running XP for over a year and since I started using it I never set up any new user accounts other than the default "Administrator" account that came up when I first used it. Today I created some new user accounts, and it told me first I had to create an Administrator user account, which I did, and then I could create Limited accounts, which I also did. But it turns out that now that initial "default" Administrator account, with all the personal settings I had developed over a year, is nowhere to be found on my log-in menu, and the settings did not transfer to the new Administrator user account I just created. Is that old account with all those settings lost forever or can I resurrect it somehow?? Thx!

=================

Display Administrator Account on Welcome Screen

By default, the Administrator account is not displayed on the Welcome
Screen. To log in to the Administrator account, press Ctrl+Alt+Del, release
the Del key, and press it again, while still holding down the Ctrl+Alt keys.
This will change the Welcome Screen login to the Windows 2000 style log in,
where you can now type Administrator and the password for the Admin account.

You could also add the Administrator to the Welcome Screen:

Start the Registry Editor
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \
CurrentVersion \ Winlogon \ SpecialAccounts \ UserList \
Right-click an empty space in the right pane and select New > DWORD Value
Name the new value Administrator
Double-click this new value, and enter 1 as it's Value data
Close the registry editor
