information in one form to automatically update in another

I have two forms. The first has four fields:

Name
Current work status (are they working for the company)
Status (temporary or permanent staff)
hourly rate

This information goes into a query which is then picked up by the main form.

Is there a macro I could use so that when the information in the first field
is updated it automatically updates the information in the main form without
re-selecting the employee name (though I suppose the hint is in "updates"!)

Can you please give some more detials? Probably an example would help.
Where are you "updating" the information in the first field (Name, I
presume) if not on the form? And how often do these people change their
names anyway?
