What shows is Disk Management? Are the drives partitioned, formatted and
drive letters assigned?
Right click My Computer | Manage | Disk Management.

Right-click My Computer > Manage > Disk Management, right-click on
the drives. The hard drives cannot be assigned a drive letter, not will
they become visible to Windows Explorer or in My Computer, until you've
created and formatted at least one partition on each.

Have the drives been formatted?

What sort of Disk Drives are these (slaves)? Are they detected in another
Computer and known to be good drives?

Try looking first in Device Manager (right click "My Computer", Properties,
Hardware, Device Manager.) Expand [+] disk drives and see if they are listed
there. Next you could look in the Computer Management utility in Admin
tools, and under Disk Management see if the drives are listed - and if their
partitions are intact. (not greyed out)

Let us know what you find.
