.inf Import Errors

I have attempted to import several .inf files for different devices and
receive the same error every time.

"File failed due to unspecified error while processing file [filename]."

Once this happens I have to force Component Designer to shutdown. I have
read through all of the msdn support docs on importing 3rd party inf files.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Hi

I have the same error and I have version 2.0.807.0 in Component Dis. Can it
be fixed?

Hi Josh,

Is this XPe SP2 TP?

You can fall back to SP1 for component creation purposes when you require inf file import.

Btw, instead of CD you can use econvert.exe tool that is under "\Program Files\Windows Embedded\utilities" folder by default.
