inetcpl error

I have just installed a security patch for IE 6 running
on NT 4 server. Now when I go to access the connections
tab in options I get the error message "an error occured
while windows was working with the control panel file
inetcpl.cpl", and IE will not access the internet.

I have reinstalled IE 6, re applied SP6a for windows, ran
a repair of IE, but still the same problem.

Has anybody got any suggestions.

You likely have a corrupt Control Panel.

Unzip file, right click and select "merge" to your Registry.
