India now has more than 100 million mobile users

India happens to be one of the fastest growing mobile markets in the
world and is adding around 4-5 million new customers every month.

And now we have touched a milestone as the country now has more than
100 million mobile users. The milestone was reached last month as India
is trying to compete with China to become one of the biggest markets
for mobile companies.
 
greater percentage of these mobile users are from urban areas and at
the beginning it may appear that mobile usage may be growing faster in
India. In reality, once we reach a saturation point in mobile usage in
urban areas, growth from their will be really slow and painfull because
spreading the mobile network to rural areas will be a challenge and is
impossible for certain states due to their poor financial resources.

And useless anyway, because if the people had a few Rupees more a
month, they'd only waste it on food.
