Hi, I am slowly learning how to maintain our home pc, which uses Windows XP, by the school of hard knocks. I recently defraged and learned we had only 4% free space on the hard drive so i commenced on a mission to free up space. After uninstalling old programs i started looking through large files and found over a thousand index files on my wifes user from mp3 downloads. She has already load the songs on cds so it is not necessary to keep them on the pc. My question is these index files are not the actual songs, if i am correct. The songs have already been deleted from the computer so is it ok to delete these index files also? Thanks in advance for your help.
