Indent and Ruler Bar Marks

Hello,
I have word 2000. When I move the ident markers on the ruler bar they do
not snap to the ruler markers. On other machines in the office when moving
the indents on the ruler they seem to stop at each ruler mark. My indents
currently stops on either side of the marks and I can't get the indents to
stop at each ruler mark. I have everything set to inches. I even tried
reinstalling the program. Any ideas as to why my indents won't stop at the
ruler markers? Thanks
 
Display the Drawing toolbar and choose Draw | Grid. Disable "Snap to grid"
and also make sure that the grid interval matches the ruler interval you
want.
