Dear All
I created a book last week by copying data from another
book; not very large (1100 rows, 5 columns, no formulae)
but at some point in between creation and when I emailed
it to clients it became enormous, 8MB! I could tell
because the scroll bar on the right had become tiny and
even though I was at the bottom of the entered data, the
scroll bar was still right near the top. What do you
think might have happened, and what can I do to avoid it
happening again?

Thanks a lot

There's something (maybe only a space character - or even just formatting)
in a cell way beyond the area that you are using. CTRL+END will take you to
the last used cell in the worksheet. It may be that deleting just that cell
and saving the workbook will suffice. Otherwise, select all rows below 1100
and delete them. Then select all columns to the right of E and delete them.
Save the workbook and all should be well.

thank you
