I have C: D: E: partitions, each with about 50 GB. I would like to
take 30GB of space from D: and move it to E: ??
How can I do this in WindowsXP ?? or do I need anther program? If so
can some one reccommend a freeware program?

Thanks

Important: Copy everything to another media / drive BEFORE you attempt this!

To (re)partiton a hard drive, you will need to reformat the entire drive.
Both can be done from the Win XP Installation CD. Copy all your files
settings, software etc. to another media, then boot from the Win XP
Installation CD. When it has finished loading, you should see the drives.
Select the drive with C: D: & E: partitions, then a screen will come up
asking which partition you want to install Windows onto. Follow the
instructions to delete each partition then adjust as required.

Not true if you are using Partition Magic. It resizes/moves partitions
without the need to reformat. I would agree about backing up though.

BootIt NG has from Terabyte Unlimited has a full featured 30 day free
trial version that will do this without loosing data. That said always
have a full and complete backup just in case.
